Feel free to walk through the system with your technician and ask any questions you may have. If you are interested in adding/removing a head, thinking about landscape or hardscape changes, or making system improvements we can give you a free quote and oftentimes make the changes during the same appointment.

What happens during a system startup?

The process for a spring irrigation system check typically goes like this:

  1. Turn on water to the sprinkler system and check water meter + valve boxes for leaks/damage

  2. Run a test cycle where all zones are checked for repairs and coverage concerns. Heads and nozzles are adjusted for optimal coverage. Any repairs are flagged. Valves are tested electrically from controller to make sure wiring is functional

  3. Program the controller to best suit the properties microclimate and homeowners unique needs

  4. Consult with homeowner on any repairs needed or coverage concerns

  5. Repair damages so system is performing optimally for the summer season

Any repairs identified during the system startup process will be discussed with the homeowner before we begin the repair work.

Please note that jobs booked outside of Calgary will be assessed a travel fee to cover our extra labour and fuel costs to get there.

Having a professional check through your system gives you peace of mind that there are no minor or major leaks causing your water bill to go up, reducing system efficiency, and potentially damaging the landscape.

  • While it is not a requirement for you to be home, an irrigation system startup is unique at every different property and many customers have differing needs. For us to communicate with you most effectively and ensure your satisfaction with the service, we highly recommend homeowners to be present for the system startup.

  • When our technicians identify a repair required on your sprinkler system, the first thing that happens is they will notify you. We will provide you with a custom solution that works best for your landscapes needs and give you a complete price breakdown before going through with any repair work. More complex problems may be billed at the hourly rate + parts.

  • Most residential startups can be completed within 45 minutes to 2 hours. Complex systems or systems that haven’t been used in a few years can take longer.
